This is awful. C stayed over last night and left for work just before 4 this morning. Then, all of a sudden, I heard the door open again and him swearing. I jumped out of bed and ran out to meet him. His car was stolen!

I feel awful because it was at my place. I'd still feel awful if it had happened at his but I feel responsible...and guilty. I was planning to park in a public spot so that he could park in mine - this is the new thing that I do for him - but I didn't because there were no plowed spots open for me when I got home. Plus, it took me 2 hours to get home last night because I had to take the bus after getting off the T because my car was being worked on and the bus took forever. I hate this winter! I figured C could more easily drive into an unplowed space with his SUV, which was true.

I've always wondered why he never locks his car doors and leaves his keys in the car. I guess he won't be doing that again. His wallet was also in there. Plus like 100 CDs...many of which he says he'll never be able to replace. Ugh!

Anyway, he has my car now. This is love - I took the bus again after last night! Nah, he's worth every sacrifice (if you can even call it that) I ever make for him. He's so totally good to me, it's unreal. It looks like I'll be driving us around this weekend. No problem, this will help me with that booze problem I talked about here.

This morning he was really upset because he was thinking that since he left the car unlocked and the keys in it, that he wouldn't get any insurance money. I checked with my brother who had had a car stolen from in front of his friend's house while it was running. Ouch. Anyway, my brother got the car back but had started the insurance stuff in the meantime. His reply to my question about this this morning was that C would get the money, it doesn't matter how it's stolen. Phew, I hope he's right. C is in enough of a financial situation and as selfish as this is, I want my ring and our house sooner rather than later.

OOOOH - he just called and they found it abandoned about a mile from my place. Someone called about it being left in front of their house with the doors all open. He's on his way back there to see if the keys were left (he doesn't have another set) and if his CDs and wallet were stolen. At least he doesn't have to buy a new car. Phew!
