My Valentine's weekend was excellent. I knew it would be, I mean, c'mon, it's been an eon since I've actually had a boyfriend, much less one who would even think to plan a romantic weekend getaway. C met me at my house after work (I took 1/2 day) and he had a dozen roses and chocolates waiting for me (and a really great card - he's really good at cards, actually). I gave him his gifts (homemade cookies, stuff for his digital camera (which I gave him for Christmas), etc.), which he loved and then we headed out. We stopped for lunch and were at the B&B by mid-afternoon. The place was beautiful - I loved our room. It was really big, with a deck (which we didn't use), gas fireplace and huge 4-poster bed. He did such a great job picking the place out.

We went out for drinks and appetizers that night and then the next morning had breakfast at the place and then just went to Newbury Comics (my Doc Marten shoelaces were just about to break and wouldn't last another tying and untying) and the mall that afternoon. That night we went to Dennis to his father's house (his step-mother was not home) and the 3 of us went out to dinner. Later, C and I went to a DIVE bar near the B&B for a few drinks before heading in for the night. It was pretty freakin' humorous watching the trashy-trash-trashes dance alone and with one another, slobber all over each other and play pool. The next day, we had another awesome breakfast and then hit the road. We stopped at the Christmas Tree Shop and were home by early afternoon.

That night we went to dinner and then went to his house to see C's daughter before heading back to my place. The next day, the snow started and C was really missing the boys. He asked me to go with him to see them briefly but I felt really weird meeting them for the first time in front of his ex-wife. Anyway, he went alone but then drove back later that night in the blizzard so we could watch "Joe Millionaire" and hopefully be snowbound together the next day. That didn't happen and we both had to go to work Tuesday. He had to shovel his car out since no one had come to plow (and he actually had to shovel himself (so of course the rest of us, too) a path down the stairs and to the parking lot as well). I didn't have to lift a finger - boy am I spoiled! It was so nice to drive to the station together and sit on the T holding hands the whole way into town. It was just a really nice ending to a perfect, wonderful, romantic weekend. GUSH!

When C got out of work, he went back to my place and shoveled my car out for me (spoiled, spoiled, spoiled) where he had an altercation with the boyfriend of my downstairs neighbor - you know the C-You-Next-Tuesday? I guess these two are a match made in heaven as the guy came out, glared at C and claimed that he "hit his car" three times. C of course didn't hit it (with snow or the shovel, not even sure what the douchebag was getting at) and kept telling this mulleted redneck over and over to no avail. C finally put his head down and continued to shovel while the moron stood by and eventually went back in. What the hell? I hate them both.

After work, C came back again and picked me up at the train station and brought one of his sons (the 5 year old, the older of the 2). Let me tell you, I love this kid! He is so cute and sweet and polite. He even drew me a picture - yes, I have crayons! Not only is he adorable and all that, but now I'm totally past my anxiety. I mean, I guess I knew it would never be as "bad" as I imagined, I was still nervous that maybe his kids wouldn't like me. Until this weekend, I didn't even know that the boys knew about me. Go figure.

Anyway, it was 4 months ago today that C and I met and it's been heaven. I have never been happier, more secure or content. Ahhhhh.
